UK Lean Six Sigma Consulting and Training
Lean and Six Sigma tools and principles are highly effective methods of achieving improvements in business performance. They can be successfully applied to all business types from the manufacturing industry to service providers to the Public Sector.
Six Sigma enables organisations to firstly identify and focus in on what is actually valuable to them. Then, it provides tools to measure performance so that improvement can actually be quantified whether that improvement represents a reduction in manufacturing costs or procurement costs or an increase in the quality of service provided by a call centre.
Lean is concerned with identifying and eliminating wasted resource from business processes. Although this sounds like a cost cutting exercise and results in reduced costs it does not simply look for ways to reduce spending. It examines processes to discover how to make them faster and fitter and creates a cycle of continuous improvement.

In our experience the majority of Black Belts and Greeen Belts will require good technical and organisationsl support not only to gain the confidence that they are apporoaching projects correctly but also to ensure they are using the correct tools and techniques in the correct manner.
The Champions also require support in selecting scoping and chartering projects and holding DMAIC stagegate reviews.
